Conlan Mitchell McGovern

Our first Great-Grandchild is born! Conlan Mitchell McGovern is 10 minutes old!

After 12 hours of labor, Chelsea had an almost 9 pounds boy ... all natural. Chelsea eats a healthy meal, while Tim grins. Proud parents!

The trio are home when he is 1 day old and family visits. Chelsea's Dad, Woody, holds his new grandson. Uncle Joe grins at his new nephew.

Amy (Joe's girlfriend) and Grandpa Jay hold Conlan.

At 2 days old, Grandma Elizabeth gives him his bath, while Woody helps. His dark hair and beautiful mouth look just like Chelsea. He has Tim's blue eyes.

We all worried that their dog, Coco, would hurt the baby. Instead, he has appointed himself the guard dog. Conlan is now 4 days old. Tim wants him to get used to the outside nightly fire pit.

Mom and Grandma love that boy!

The family. Looks like Pizza and paper plate time!

Chelsea's sister Elana visits.

At 6 days old, we get to see him. Papa is so excited!

This was John's grandfather's rocking chair. He was a doctor in Gatesville and had this chair in his office. Tim had it refinished and recovered. It is in Conlan's room. He's being rocked in his Great great great grandfather's chair!

Grandma holds him while he sleeps.

Nanny gives the camera to someone else so she can hold her first great grandson.

We go over to Joe and Amy's house. Deb has joined us.

It is so cute. We will enjoy watching them furnish it.

Uncle Patrick comes in from Austin.
He is now 8 days old and bright eyed!

Tim and Chelsea bring him to the lake when he is 10 days old.

Jay holds Conlan.

Conlan knows his Grandma Elizabeth!

They have friends who had a baby girl, Mae, a few days younger that Conlan. Love the way that they completely ignore each other on the first Play Date. It's easy to tell the girl from the boy!

Second play date and Conlan makes his move!

Tim gets to feed his son with a bottle for the first time. He is in such awe! Elizabeth took this picture and she says, "It's kind of like Tim is looking at her and saying 'Look, Mom!'".

At 2 months old, Conlan is dressed as Elvis! Chelsea made this outfit. He loved it so that he stayed awake through all of the "Trick or Treating". Tim was dressed as the young Elvis, with a black leather jacket, bare chest, his guitar and blackened side burns.

Thanksgiving arrives and Conlan is shown the turkey. He loves his bath.

Grandma Elizabeth loves Conlan!

He begins to laugh and really notice people!

His uncle Patrick and his uncle Andy take Conlan for walks. He loves to go fast!
