May at the Frio

With Elizabeth and Jay, we spend 3 nights at the Seven Bluff Cabins on the Frio River. Our family all loves this place and Tim and Chelsea's wedding was held here almost 3 years ago. They join us from San Antonio, Andy from New York City, and Patrick from Austin (with friends: Dani, Seth, and Andrew). Joe was at Geology Field Camp in Montana and so had to miss the fun. In another cabin were Claire Meurer with daughters Jessica and Amanda and Jessica's boyfriend Stephan, Mary Ann Portis with granddaughter Kristen and her boyfriend David, and Kassie Kelly. The Gonzales family occupied another cabin with David, Rosie, daughter Leanne, son Mark and friend Carly.
Here is the McGovern cabin. Ours is the near side of the green duplex (on the left).

Deer are around the feeder right past our cabin. Wild turkey are across the road to the left.

There are fields of pecan trees. The large bluff is in the background.

We don't know how old some of these pecan trees are. This one is right outside our door. What a story this tree could tell!
Seven Bluff Cabins owner Betty has passed the "Baton" to daughter, Bree and her husband Brian. They are doing a great job of running the place and are adding cabins closer to the water. Check it out at http://7bluffcabins.com/.

Jay and Elizabeth follow the slogan on Jay's tee shirt!

Nancy and John relax too.

It was wonderful to have Andy home from NYC. He's heading back to New York to help film the Project Runway (a reality TV show on Lifetime) new season.

Tim and Chelsea were there from San Antonio. They both had to go back to work on Monday, however.

Patrick and his girlfriend Dani are home from college. Patrick just learned on our return to Corpus Christi that he's been accepted in the Architecture School at UT. Yeah, Patrick! He has worked so hard this freshman year and made all A's. However, very few students are accepted to the Architecture School.

Patrick and his friends, Andrew and Seth cook our fajita meat for us.

John and Nancy went over to the Concan Country Club. While there, John hit some practice balls and we ate hamburgers for lunch.

The grounds are beautiful. There are gorgeous rock homes on the golf course for rent.

Packing up to leave...

... cleaning up

John and Jay are resting up for the trip.
