Brown Reunion

The Brown Reunion was held on Memorial Day weekend at the White Mound Baptist Church Family Building, which is close to Gatesville - the original home of the Browns. Our delight was to see Aunt Frances, who is the only living granddaughter of John's great granddaddy, Captain John Marshall Brown. The reunion consisted of his and his brother's descendents.

Cathrine Brown Fulton, John's first cousin, was the organizer and did a great job.

Other first cousins are Reb Brown of Gatesville and Marshall Brown from near Houston.

First cousin, Nancy Brown Pratt and her husband live half the year in Gatesville and half in Pennsylvania
.
John, known as Tommy, is hugging first cousin, Betty Brown of Gatesville.

Catherine is thanking everyone for coming, suggesting that we have the reunion in April on even years and Memorial Day weekend on odd years. That way, some of the people who are usually gone in the summer can attend in April. Catherine Landry was unanimously elected to head the 2012 Reunion.

Catherine's husband, John Fulton, has joined this group. He has on the yellow shirt. He gave a meaningful blessing. We are all so thankful for Catherine and John putting on this reunion!

We are all delighted to see John's first cousin, Tommy Breithaupt (in the suspenders), who came from Seattle to bring his mother (Aunt Frances) from Corsicana to the reunion. We hadn't seen him since he was a boy!

Margaret Smith is from the Bill Brown line.

Frances had a stroke and is recovering quite well.
