Tulsa

After we complete our cruise, we drive to Tulsa for the funeral of our dear cousin, Kitty. Click HERE for her obituary.

The family gathers at the cemetery for the burial. Her casket is elegant, just as Kitty was. She so loved flowers and these are the colors she loved.

The vault cover is inscribed with her name and dates.

The sun has just come out and the setting is like a fairy tale.

She is buried next to her parents, Uncle Vernon and Aunt Mary Catherine Holloway.

Her elder son, Lee (in the overcoat), welcomes family members. Lee and Diana have 3 sons as do younger son Andrew and Audra. Kitty was so proud of her 6 young grandsons and had family portraits made quite often. The last one was taken only a few days before her death, as was the photo above.

Here are a few pictures of the snow culled from the 100 that we took. These are color pictures, but look more black and white.

We are at the luncheon after the Memorial Service. Here is our cousin, Bill, and his son-in-law, Nicholas from Dallas.

Our brother Bup and sister-in-law Gloria - also from Dallas

This is Lee and Diana's son who is in the 3rd grade and reading a Harry Potter book. He read "Lord of the Rings" when he was in 2nd grade. He's cute AND smart. Takes after his Phi Beta Kappa grandmother, Kitty!

John is talking with Kitty's younger son, Andrew. Both sons are MDs. Lee practices in a small town in Kansas and Andrew in Tulsa. John had run out of one of his meds and Andrew called in a scrip for him. We were quite relieved to obtain a few more pills in an easy manner.

We eat dinner both Sunday and Monday night at Bill and Susie's house. Here are Bup, Susie and Gloria.

The latest Holloway is Alphie. The flash made him gray, but he's all black and a doll.

Couldn't resist some snow picture of the Holloway house. This and the one below are the front.

Out back

The gazebo is enclosed as a hot house.
