Carol and Nancy at Carol's home ... John at our old home at Toledo Bend Lake

Derek and April Bell now own our home and have done wonders with it. We are so thrilled with the results. Carol rides up for the day with us and our wonderful Toledo Bend friends, Carol and Bill McCarty meet us.

The redwood paint, green roof and trim, additional decks and plantings give the place a great look.

These are the original blinds that we bought when we built the house in about 1972. The paneling is stained this light color. The wood stove fireplace and tile that we installed in the 90's look wonderful with the wood floor that they installed. We loved seeing out fireplace trim, vaulted beans and wooden ceiling remaining the same.

This new, enlarged kitchen is a dream and makes the den-kitchen combo look so much better.

The living room is seen through the original opening.

The walls of the living room are sponged and help give the "woodsy" look. Nancy really appreciates the white ceiling and stained beams since she did it all herself!

The 2 Carols pose in front of this table and chairs. The table was bought at a 2nd hand store by Nancy's folks MANY years ago. The top actually didn't go with the base they had said. We used it for awhile and then "stored" it under the house. It looks brand new and gives them additional seating with a larger table to the right of the opening.

Our bedroom has a crackled white stain on the panelling.

The bathrooms have restained cabinets, new blue formica top, a tile black splash and tiled floor. Our white paneling and "cubby holes" remain.

The triple bunks remain in both upstairs bedrooms. The white paint and blue spreads give a clean look. The bunk idea was so popular that Elizabeth and Jay adopted it for their lake house on Corpus Christi lake.

The basement has been turned into a bunk room with a bath and windows added.

The hot tub deck sports the new paint theme and a new covered dock and new floating dock replace the old ones.

Commercial garage doors are on the boat house and a new ramp is installed so people can get off of the boats easier.

Nancy and John pose on a new deck in front of the "swing porch". John's handmade smoker is seen in it's usual spot. Thanks to the Bells for fixing up the house so nice and for letting us take a tour.
