Patrick's Graduation

The graduation is held at 10:00 am, May 22nd at the American Bank Center.  Here the class is seated, the speakers are taking their seats on stage and the screen shows close up pictures.  (Unfortunately, it stretches a little wide and so everyone looks a little fatter.)

Our good friend, Amanda Meurer, is the Valedictorian and she leads the class as they take their seats.

Patrick is on the left, walking with the girl.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude and wears a Silver Cord plus the honors white stole.

Amanda is shown on the screen as she makes a wonderful Valedictory Address.

Here is Patrick, the graduate with Chelea and Tim.  Nancy and Tom can be seen in the background.

Tom gives Patrick a hug, as Jay gives Nancy Jeanne a hug.

Patrick's buddy, Seth Kitchens, is also a Magna Cum Laude graduate and is here with some of his family.

Here he is with good buddy, Andrew Conroy, who is Vice-President of the class.

We celebrate at lunch at Water Street Oyster Bar.  Here is Patrick, Elizabeth and Timmy (Jay's brother).

Here are Dee (Timmy's girlfriend), Nancy Jeanne and Tom.

The McGovern family - Joe, Andy, Tim, Elizabeth, Patrick and Jay

In being nostalgic, Tim is wearing an OLD shirt of Jay's.  Must have shrunk, Jay!

We are SO proud of our boys!  Joe made the Dean's List again this semester at UTSA (University of Texas at San Antonio), where he is getting a degree in Geology.  He plans to finish in 1 1/2 years and work with Jay.  Tim is a 2007 graduate of Texas A & M.  He is a Geologist in San Antonio with Ameritex Minerals.  He has just been elected President of the South Texas Geological Association.  Andy just graduated from UNT (University of North Texas) with a degree in Radio, TV and Film and is headed to NYC to begin his career.  Patrick will be attending UT (University of Texas) and plans to be an engineer.

Elizabeth is SO proud of her "baby", as well as, all of her boys.  And Jay announced at lunch, "I'm so proud of all of my boys."  Needless to say, ALL of us are proud of them.
