Christmas

Christmas festivities began at our house with our annual family party.  We didn't do a tree this year and so the table was a help for Santa.

Jay's brother, Timmie, and girlfriend, Dee, head the "line up".  They are followed by Patrick and Joe.  Andy didn't get in until the next day and Tim the day after that.  We missed them.

Children always make Christmas fun.  Here is C.K., our great-grandson.

Nancy and great-granddaughter, Kathryn

Shawna, Nancy Jeanne's daughter, is with her 2 children, Kathryn and C. K.

Nancy J. enjoys her two grandchildren.

Nancy enjoys watching everyone while Elizabeth gets to hold C.K.  (Getting anxious for a grandchild??)

Sitting around the table are Kathryn, Shawna, Tom, Chelsea (our granddaughter-in-law) and John.

Our two "kids", Elizabeth and Tom

C. K. uses his new "tools" on his head, as Tom, Timmie and Nancy Jeanne watch.

He is quite taken with the pattern on the rug and "drills" the center of each medallion.   (It didn't hurt the rug.)  He has great hand to eye coordination.  He never missed a hole.  John, Patrick and Shawna watch.

John's Christmas from the McGoverns and Nancy is this new chair.  The color is more of a deep maroon (Gig 'em Aggies), but the camera didn't quite catch the color.

Andy and Patrick try out the chair after they come over and help us bring it in the house.  His old chair was taken to their house.  (We DO recycle!)

We celebrate Elizabeth's birthday at the lake house.  As always, Papa provided a cake.  It was a cheese cake and delicious.

The tree has many handmade decorations with the popcorn garlands really setting it off

.

Jay spent most of the weekend outside - either on the porch or down by the fire pit.  With 9 dogs, he had lots of "company".

Tim decorated the tree.  This is his favorite decoration - a Santa fishing and the fishing pole actually works.

Elizabeth spent most of the 5 days cooking - with lots of help from Chelsea.  She made sugar cookie dough and everyone got to cut them out and decorate.

Katy, Jay's sister, and her daughter, Hannah, make a Christmas outfit for Baxter.

Tim and Patrick serenaded us on their guitars.

Nanny is ONLY giving Patrick a gentle pat on the head.  John is in his usual position.  He's still recovering from knee replacement surgery, but he didn't slow down much!

This is a record Christmas - old records, that is.  Timmie is looking over some of the ones that Joe and Andy got for Christmas.

Hannah and Dee watch the present opening.

Papa gave Tim a new router and passed on his router table.

Timmie and Dee made these fly swatters, which they gave everyone.  They had picked up the flip flops on the beach and attached to fly swatters.  What a clever idea!  Nancy, Elizabeth and Hannah pose with theirs.

Hannah and Chelsea "ragged" their hair after they washed it.  Isn't Hannah's beautiful?
