Calallen Football Game

The Calallen Wilcats play at Round Rock in the Class 4 Division II State Finals.  Although we lost, it was the first time that a Calallen team had made it to the State Finals. (And only the second time that any Corpus Christi team had played in the State Finals.)  Both teams are kneeling to pray before the game.

High School buddies Mike Farst and Jay Otto live in Austin and met our Jay (McGovern) at the game.

The highlight for us was watching the band at halftime. Joe plays the smallest bass drum.  This is a cute number by the school dancers.

They theme was Texas football and the band played the Aggie War Hymn (our favorite, of course) and the Eyes of Texas.

Joe is almost hidden behind the flag on the 33 yard line.

He is the first bass drummer on the 36 yard line.  And...
